The multiplication grid method

for big numbers

The grid method can be a really useful way to help us multiply big numbers.
Look at this example:

x 300 60
9000 + 1800 = 10,800
360 x 32 = 30 9000 1800 600 + 120 = 720
10,800 + 720 = 11,520
2 600 120
360 x 32 = 11,520

Have a go at using the grid method to work out the answer to these
