‘Job Purpose
‘The Design Leader is responsible of a team of engineers or technicians for a given project or proposal
within engineering office. He can works on various water treatment unit projects on Bid or Execution
(drinking water production, wastewater treatment, desalination, etc.).
He manages his team on a project while respecting the validated budget. He is responsible for the
distribution of tasks within his team to ensure the follow-up of the schedule and the quality of the
‘expected deliverables. He manages the team under his responsibilty in term of technical compliance,
production quality, schedule and time spent.
Main Accountabilities
Management:
He enhances technical end organizational skls of his team
+ He contro and improves the productivity and the production quality of his team
‘He manages his team workloads
On project tendering:
He checks the design documentation prepared during tendering to ensure continuity on execution
+ phase ifthe project is awarded,
‘On project execution:
+ He is accountable for the quality of the deliverables produced by his team according to contract
+ requirements, codes and standards, etc... He exercises this responsbblty through a direct
+ involverient on quality control (based on the documents workflow) and through audits
+ He shall ensure implementation of HSE company policy and is proactive in developing innovative
+ solution for the design of safe plants
+ He ensures that REX related to process implemented on project are taken into account
+ He ensures compilation of best practices and lessons learn on his projects
Transversal role:
+ Any company transversal activities such as REX, Omega development, engineering tools and system
+ development and monitoring, etc...that require his input
+ He is the referent in hidstipline _and could be consulted
