NorE: Before you attach the usB scope or probe to your pc you must install the following winT drivers.

. LJnzip the USS AVCPTSetup For WinT zip file.

1. Open the downloaded or installed zip file and double click the ,,setup.exe,, file. A restart w¡ll be
required after installation.

2. After the PC restarts, they will need to locate the setup.exe program in the following location:

3. (CD Drive): EasyCAP DC60\program\UVS1O\setup.exe,,

4. Right click on the setup.exe and select ,,properties,,.

5. Click on the "Compatibility'' tab and select the check box for ,,Run this program in compatibility
mode for:" and seJect Windows Xp (Service pack 3). Click ,,Apply,,.

6. Double clickthe "Setup.exe" program to install. After installation, another restartwill be

required.

7. When the PC has restarted, plug the USB probe into ¿n open USB port.

8. Locate and run the newly installed Ulead Videostudio SE DVD program on the pC.

9. Select "Videostudio Editor" from the popr¡p menu.

l0.Oncetheprogramhasstarted,clickthe,,Capture,,tab¿tthetopofthescreen.

11. Select "Capture Video" from the right hand side ofthe screen.

12. From the "Source" dropdown menu, select ,,US82.O ATV"

13. The live image from the probe will be displayed in the video window. At this point either live
video or Still images can be captured from the probe using the buttons on the riBht side of the

IMPORTANT!
READ BEFORE INSTALLING MICROSCOPE
You 4!§!ínstoll the driveBÍrom the enclosed ínstollotíon CD before connecting the USB Mictoscope to
yout co¡nputer. Referto the Hardware lnstallation section ofthe Video AdapterQuick nstallation Guide
to installthe USB drivers from the enclosed installation CD. ftheUSBMicroscopeisconnectedtothe
computer before the drivers from the CD are installed, you must disconnectthe Microscope from the
computer, and uninstall then re-insta I the drivers from the CD to get the device to function properly.

After the drivers are installed, connect the llSB Microscope to the computer and install the Windows."

Set the lmage Properties:

1. Open "!U]¡¡opUCI" from the Windows'" desktop. An icon for the Syntek 1160 (or 1150)
should appear neár the bottom of the "My Computer" window.
2- Open the "Svntek" window. A blank Ímage should appear. Keep this window open.
3- Open another "!]J.teg¡!zuLC/ from the Windows'" desktop.
4. Right-click on the "Svntek" icon in the "!ly.leeM]J!CI" window and select "elgpe!!!s" from the
menu that appears.
5. Select the "ItE!gC" tab from the Syntek Properties window.
6. Select the "NIql4" and "lSlopQste yldeq" buttons in the "tmage" tab of the Syñtek
Properties window. The USB Microscope is a composite video, NTSC format device.
7. lnsertafiberopticconnectorintotheendoftheL,SBMicroscope. Avideoimageshouldappear
in the Syntek window on the cornputer dÍsplay. Focus the Microscope iI needed to get a clear
image of the connector.
a. lf no image ¿ppears in the Syntek window on the computer display, recheck the settings
under the "lmage" tab of the Syntek properties window for "NTSC/M,, and ,,Composite
Video"
8. Click OK to close the Syntek Properties window.

You can save images from the USB Microscope directly from the Syñtek window under .,My Computer,,
in Windows'" and edit them by using Window's Moviemaker, or by installing the ,,y¡deo Studlo,, image
