HRM stand for Human Resource management. HRM is resource


management is the practice of recruiting, hiring, deploying and
managing an organization's employee. HRM is often referred to Simply
as human resources(HR). A Company or organization's HR department
is usually responsible for creating putting into effect and overseeing
policies governing Workers and the relationship of the organization
with its employee.
HRM Functions
it Consist of four functions.
i) Staffing function
ii) Training and Developing function.
iii) Motivation function.
iv) Maintance function.

Staffing Function
Activities in HRM concerned With Seeking and hiring qualified
employees.

 Strategic HR planning:
Strategic HR planning is a process that helps an organization to identify
Current and future human resources needs to achieve the end goals.
 Recruiting.
Recruitment is the process of actively Seeking out, finding and hiring
candidates for a Specific position or Job.

 Selecting
Selection is the process of putting right men on the right Job. it is a
procedure of matching organisational requirements with the Skills and
qualification of people.

Training and development function:


Activities in HRM Concerned with assisting employees to develop up-to-
date skills knowledge, and abilities.

 Employee Training
Training is the process for providing required Skills to the employee for
doing the Job effectively, Skillfully and qualitatively.

 Employee development
Employee development is a process of helping employees. progress in
their careers by acquiring new skills.
 Career development
Career development is the Support an organization provide to
employee professional growth especially to employees's movement to
a new position or project within the organization.

Motivation Function
Activities in HRM Concerned with helping employees exert at high
energy levels.
Banous, Reward and Compensation,employee benefits.

Maintenance Function
Activities in HRM Concerned with maintaining employees' Commitment
and loyalty to the organization.
Safety and health, Comunication employee relations.
