CONCLUSIONS

• Starting method usage is very essential for DC motors to avoid unnecessary damage caused by
sudden high voltage and high torques.
• Three-point starters, four-point starters, and two-point starters are starting methods that can be
used to avoid damage.
• Flux control method, voltage regulation method, and armature resistance control method are
the methods that can be used to control the speed of the motor.
• Speed of the DC motor can be increased by increasing the field resistance.
• When armature resistance is increased, the speed of the DC motor is decreased.
• Dynamic breaking method can be used to reduce the time that the motor takes to stop.
