When Will Amma Back?

Roja is sad. Amma is going to work.

“I will back before bedtime” says Amma.

“What time will you go home?” asks Roja.

“At 9 o’clock tonight” replies Amma.

It is 6 o’clock in the morning.

“I want Amma to give me breakfast” says Roja to Appa.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 8 o’clock in the morning.

“Let’s buy potatoes” says Roja to Tata.
“But we ate potato yesterday” says Tata.
“How about brinjal today?” Tata asks.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 10 o’clock in the morning.

“Tata is making pappadam!” Roja yells.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 1 o’clock in the afternoon.

Honk! Honk!

Roja’s Akka is back from school.

“I will go to school with you after summer Akka” says Roja.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

“It is time to go home, Roja,” Appa calls out.

“Wait for me!” shouts Roja.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 5 o’clock in the evening.
“Tata, eat your bread quickly!” says Roja.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is 7 o’clock at night.
“Amma!” Roja shouts.

“What did you do all day, Roja?” Amma asks.

Tick tock! Tick tock!

It is almost 9 o’clock at night.

“I had a lot of fun today, Amma!” Roja says, with a wide smile.

Roja was sad as Amma was going to work.

Amma assured Roja that she would be back before bedtime.
Roja asked Amma what time she would go home.
Amma replied that she would go home at 9 o’clock that night.
At 6 o’clock in the morning, Roja expressed her desire for Amma to give her breakfast to
Appa.
At 8 o’clock in the morning, Roja suggested to Tata that they buy potatoes.
Tata said that they ate potatoes yesterday.
Tata asked if it would be possible to have brinjal that day.
At 10 o’clock in the morning, Roja exclaimed that Tata was making pappadam.
At 1 o’clock in the afternoon, Roja expressed her intention to accompany her Akka to school
after the summer.
At 3 o’clock in the afternoon, Appa called out to Roja that it was time to go home.
Roja shouted to wait for her.
At 5 o’clock in the evening, Roja urged Tata to eat bread quickly.
At 7 o’clock at night, Roja shouts to Amma. Amma asks what Roja did all day.
At almost 9 o'clock at night,
Roja said that she had a lot of fun today to Amma with a wide smile.
