Nov 8 Indigenous Veterans Day
Thank you to families who were able to join our Halloween Assemblies on
Tuesday. Remembrance Day is next week, and we will be inviting families to
joining our Assemblies at 8:50 am and 10:30 am. Please know that not all
classes are presenting, so look to the list of Divisions below to determine
which assembly you would like to attend.
Remembrance Day was established in 1919 by the Commonwealth to mark
the end of World War One. Over the years, it has evolved to recognize the
brave individuals who have died in service. In the local Richmond
community, Remembrance Day ceremonies are always a poignant
opportunity to honour all of the individuals who have and continue to serve in
Canada’s military services, affording us the opportunity to live in a peaceful
and democratic country.

to ensure that the diverse staff, students, and
families in our school communities continue to feel
safe, welcome, and supported as school
assemblies commemorate the remembrance of
those who sacri ced for our Canadian freedoms.
