ាំ ០២៣ Training Exercise on Humanitarian Mine Action Field
3 within the framework of ASEAN Defense Ministers-
Plus (ADMM-Plus) “Pure Homeland2023”។ The
exercise, which has now come to an end, is the first
exercise that organized by the National Center For
Peackeeping Forces, co-chaired by the Chinese
People's Liberation Army, and involving partiticpants
total of 14 countries on the four continents of Asia,
Europe, The North America, and Oceania including:
Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Kingdom of Cambodia,
People's Republic of China, India, Indonesia, Japan,
Republic of Korea, Lao People's Democratic, Republic
of China, The Philippines, Russian Federation,
Republic of Singapore, United States of America and
Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This exercise aims to
share experiences in order to broaden the knowledge
and the implementation of advanced technology
devices such as drones, laser systems, robots IOT
improve mine risk reduction by operators, speed up
the conduct of demining, reduce the number of mine
casualties in the world, improve the quality of life to
those impact by landmines. and to reach a world
without mines. Those equipments were also on
display by the PLA and Republic of Korea Armed
Forces during the exercise, while Cambodia also
demonstrated the use of dogs to search for mines /
ammunition and unexploded ordnance and the
techniques to search for EOD and IEDs, etc. In
addition, the Chinese side also planned a bilateral
cooperation project by clearing unexploded ordnance
at the base of K'aek Pong Mountain in Kampong
Speu province, using the specialized forces of both
Cambodia and China. As a result, 17.1 (seventeen
point one) square meters were cleared, and found
one 106mm( one headred and six milimeter)
warheads with 474 (four headred seventy four)
explosive pieces.
This exercise has reflected the high commitment of
the countries in ASEAN and ASEAN-Plus to address
all issues of landmines and explosive remnants of
