OMAN DRIVING TIPS
Oman is a country made for road trips... With virtually no
traffic (once outside Muscat), endless offroading
possibilities, and legal freedom camping, there is no better
way to explore Oman than by car.

Get yourself a reliable 4x4 jeep and embark on an

unforgettable journey around this underrated country in the
Middle East.

Here are some things to keep in mind before setting out on

your Oman road trip:

Many roads are unpaved: while all major roads are

paved, you' ll come across many dirt roads during your
Oman road trip. Renting a 4x4 is the best (and safest)
option!
Prepare well and stock up: make sure you have a full
tank, plenty of water, and enough food when heading into
the mountains or the desert.
Download an offline map: you don' t want to get lost
during your trip so make sure you download a map before
hitting the road.

MUSCAT MINI-GUIDE
Muscat is the capital of Oman and is located in the north of the
country, on the Gulf of Oman.

With approximately 1.7 million residents it’s the biggest city in

Oman and a wonderful place to spend a couple of days.

When to visit Muscat?

The best time to visit Muscat is during the winter months
(November-March).

The average temperature is usually below 30°C, contrary to the

unbearable heat of the summer months (April to September).
