UPDATE TO CODE OF PRACTICE (COP) FOR WORKS ON PUBLIC

STREETS (JUNE 2023 EDITION)

The Code of Practice (COP) for Works on Public Streets was published to provide
guidance on the procedure and requirements for obtaining approval for permit to carry
out works on the public streets as well as technical requirements for the various types
of works and road reinstatement.

2. To aid users in understanding what are required of them for the reinstatement of
the public streets after work completion, LTA has updated the COP for Works on
Public Streets to include photographs of good and bad practices under Appendix G.

3. The updated COP for Works on Public Streets can be downloaded from LTA
website under sub-sections, “Industry Matters”, “Development Building”,
“Construction & Utility Works”, “Street Proposals and Works on Public Streets”.

4. We would appreciate it if you could convey the contents of this circular to all
members of your respective organisations.
