It also has General Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Urology, and Orthopaedics. ‘The Emergency Department at Blacktown offers emergency care for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The main purpose of the Department is the provision of initial assessment, sorting and initiation of management for patients presenting to the Department. ‘The Emergency Department is a Level 3 Department, (with the hospital being a Level 2 Trauma Unit) providing treatment of medical emergencies and major and minor trauma cases.
