This essay will describe the possible results of

an increase in consumerism. It will examine its impact


in four main areas, namely food, transport, tourism,
and clothing.
In the first place, an increase in food
consumption also affects the environment. it is clear
that an increase in the consumption of foodstuffs will
lead to an increase in the amount of packaging
needed, for example aluminium tins.
The second point to be considered is the
effect of an increase in the demand for transport.
Transport needs, even if those needs are satisfied,
fully, partially, or not at all. However, there are
consequences as well, such as traffic congestion,
environment.
Another point is about the effect of tourism
on culture, economy and society. Tourism is a rapidly
growing industry across the globe. Therefore, it needs
to be developed in many areas such as service,
convenience, as well as appropriate culture
dissemination.
Lastly, clothing is a fundamental part in the
image of contemporary man or woman. One reason
for this rapid increase in popularity can be attributed
to the rise of social media and the desire to keep up
with current trends. Therefore, resulting in increased
production on the fashion side very competitive
causing effects such as, depressing the price of
clothing, Low cost production but poor quality.
As this report has shown, the results of an
increase in consumerism. As a result, it has to be
developed and improved to suit the mainly.
