• Involvement of the community in the planning, implementation and
maintenance of health services,
• Using local resources village health guides and trained dais.
• ASHA and Anganwadi workers , bare-foot doctors
3. Intersectoral coordination:

• Need help from other departments like agriculture, animal


husbandry, food, industry, education, housing, public works,
communication and others sectors
• Covid education department, mass media, police dept,
voluntary organisation.

• “Technology that is scientifically sound, adaptable to local needs, and
acceptable and maintained by the people themselves using resources the
community and country can afford" .eg: ORS, MAC using Shakir tape
