Today, I would share my insights on life’s upgraded version, we could

call it “life 2.0”, where you can have background music in it. Respected
dignitaries, I personally am a great believer of upgrades, upgrades make
everything better, they are basically the improved versions so yes, life should
come with background music; how great that would be.

Come to think of it, our lives are such great movies, I mean if I talk
about my life, oh boy, such a roller-coaster of twists and turns, the betrayals,
the plotting, my poorly, poorly executed plans would be a huge laughing
stock. It is definitely going to score millions on the silver screen. There is
drama; how I cried when my sister wouldn’t share her snacks with me,
mystery: who ate the last slice hidden from the refrigerator? Comedy:
basically, everything I do; action: the latest chappal I have dogged of my
mother, I do wish it was recorded, some would believe it was done by a stunt
double, horror: the horror of my mum finding I have torn a dress of mine by
mistake and dumped it so stealthily, even the garbage man wouldn’t find it!
So, basically, the only thing missing from all these great scenarios is the
music!

If only life had come with background music, there was no one, not a
single soul who could stop me from becoming a worldwide famous celebrity!
Therefore, the only thing standing between my stardom and I is the said
background music, I hope someone is listening to me up above and taking
notes.

Music does tend to have such a strong influence on our perceptions.

Being a brown girl from a desi household, having background music

would be so interesting, I kind of want to see what would it feel like. And
this, I am saying on behalf of every desi person, sometimes our words and
expressions fall insufficient in describing our emotions. Imagine, how
bewildering it would be, if there were a playlist associated with our emotions,
every time we are happy, When I have lit my cousin’s clothes on fire there
could be ‘look what you made me do by Taylor swift in the background ‘or
when I am having a feeling of loneliness, you know, a sad, gloomy day, when
I only want to gloat and do nothing, despite my mum telling me how my
mamo’s daughter wouldn’t even waste one minute of her day moping like a
cow, a song “ isn’t it lovely; all alone by Billie Eilish’ would surely sum up my
feelings beautifully.

Those of you who don’t believe me, I DARE you to watch pink panther
without music, without ‘to do, to do, to do to do to doo to do dododo’, or
even the great classic Tom & jerry would seem meaningless without
background music. For crying out loud, there is a whole era of silent films,
supported only by background music. Well-loved by the audience is also the
one and only, Mr. Bean, who didn’t say a word but his actions along with the
background music were a barrel of laughs. Hence proved, life should come
with background music.

In conclusion, I think it is not the question of should, rather it is the

situation of MUST; there MUST be background music in our life, sometimes
to add more meaning to the scenarios that we go through in day-to-day life
and sometimes only to just understand what is going really going on.
Because to be honest, sometimes my brain, just straight up refuse to
comprehend simple situations; being legendary as it is, so I have no idea
what is going on, maybe background music would be of great help.
