experience of the ordinary members. Avoids technical theological terms and academic
perspective.
6. Socially conscious – Speaks to the collective experience of the people in relation to the
current social realities.
Sermons are expected to be a balance of sacramental and evangelical, evangelical and
prophetic, and personal and social holiness as embodied in our Wesleyan faith and practice.
