General information:

- The following guide lists the Classes (or Roles) available in version 8.5.3 of
Pokémon Pathways. Currently, there are eight in the game.

- A Class is a trainer archetype you can make yours like Knight or Adventurer. It will
allow you to teach certain moves to your Pokémon regardless of movepool and
replace their ability with specific ones for a cost. Additionally, the damage inflicted by
Pokémon of the type your class specialises in will be increased by 4, 7 or 10%
depending on how far you’ve walked down its path. Classes with no specialisation
increase all damage by 1, 2 or 3% instead.

- You can only have one Class, and the decision is irreversible. In other words, think
carefully before making your choice.

- To get a Class, you need to meet its instructor and catch their eye. Each instructor
has specific requirements that need to be met in order to be taught their secrets.
Once you have officially become their disciple, your new master will be waiting in the
basement of the Academy Tower. They will be the one to teach you new moves and
replace abilities.

Light Alignment Classes:

Ranger: (Flying, Bug, Grass)

Apprentice:
Instructor: She is originally found on Mt Grassland.
Requirements: 10 Light Aura, 15 Skill, 10 Charm.
Quest: Give her 5 Honey or show her a member of the Rowlet line.
Completion reward: +4% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Quick Shot (Flying-type Fake Out.)
Abilities: Keen Eye, Long Reach, Ranger Remedy (Shed Skin with 25% activation chance.)

Expert:
Requirements: 25 Light Aura, 35 Skill, 25 Charm.
Quest: Show her a Vespiquen or any form of Decidueye at level 50.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Leaf Blade, Multi Shot (Flying-type Triple Arrows), Pollen Puff.
Abilities: Skill Link, Compound Eyes, Marksman (powers up arrow and shot moves by 50%.)
Master:
Requirements: 40 Light Aura, 50 Skill, 40 Charm.
Quest: Show her a level 70 Shiny Sceptile.
Completion reward: level 5 Treecko provided upon accepting the quest, +3% damage with
class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Sceptilite.
Moves: Tangling Arrow (90 BP Physical Bug move with 50% chance to lower Speed), Roost,
Leech Arrow (Arrow version of Giga Drain.)
Abilities: Aerilate, Tinted Lens, Lighten (Unburden that only boosts Speed by 50%.)

Knight: (Steel, Rock, Fighting)

Apprentice:
Instructor: He is originally found in Iron Grove.
Requirements: 10 Light Aura, 10 Strength, 10 Skill.
Quest: Give him 2 Metal Coats and 2 Hard Stones.
Completion reward: Honedge, Shieldon, 2 Steel Gems, +4% damage with class type
Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities.
Moves: Metal Burst, Sharpen, Seismic Toss.
Abilities: Vital Spirit, Iron Barbs, Shield Dust.

Expert:
Requirements: 25 Light Aura, 25 Strength, 25 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 50+ Sirfetch’d.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Shield Bash (Steel-type Body Press), Disarming Thrust (Fighting-type, 75 BP, 100%
chance to lower attack), Stone Edge.
Expert Abilities: Gallant (Cute Charm that ignores attacker’s gender), Guts, No Guard

Master:
Requirements: 45 Light Aura, 40 Strength, 40 Skill.
Quest: Show Shadow Six Miloszelex a level 70+ Shiny Gallade.
Completion reward: a level 5 Ralts provided upon accepting the quest, +3% damage with
class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Galladite.
Moves: King’s Shield, Heavy Cavalry (Steel-type Double-Edge), Sacred Sword.
Abilities: Weak Armor, Duelize (Fighting-type Aerilate), Sharpness.
Neutral Alignment Classes:

Beast Tamer: (Dragon, Flying, Bug)

Apprentice:
Instructor: She is originally found in Riverside Road.
Requirements: 15 Charm, 10 Skill, 10 Intelligence.
Quest: Show her a Dragon type Pokémon.
Completion reward: +4% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Dragon Gnaw (Physical Dragon-type Fire Spin), Pounce, Breaking Swipe.
Abilities: Air Lock, Rough Skin, Synchronize.

Expert:
Requirements: 30 Charm, 30 Skill, 25 Intelligence.
Quest: Show her a level 50 Flygon and give her 3 Rare Bones.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Acrobatics, Attack Order, Scale Shot.
Abilities: Armor Tail, Tangling Hair, Marvel Scale.

Master:
Requirements: 50 Charm, 45 Skill, 40 Intelligence.
Quest: Show her a level 70 Garchomp.
Completion reward: a level 5 Gible provided upon accepting the quest, +3% damage with
class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Garchompite.
Moves: Draco Meteor, Brave Bird, Heal Order.
Abilities: Dragonize (Dragon-type Aerilate), Moxie, Multiscale.

Adventurer: (Normal, Water, Rock)

Apprentice:
Instructor: Shadow Six Maxwell is originally found in Waterfall Passage.
Requirements: 10 Strength, 10 Intelligence, 10 Skill.
Quest: Show him a Pokémon with Pickup.
Completion reward: +4% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Weather Ball, Whirlwind, Cave In (Rock-type Avalanche).
Abilities: Arena Trap, Early Bird, Limber.

Expert:
Requirements: 25 Strength, 25 Intelligence, 25 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 50 Gyarados.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities, and an Old Amber.
Moves: Stealth Rock, Court Change, Flip Turn.
Abilities: Stamina, Sand Rush, Swift Swim.

Master:
Requirements: 45 Strength, 45 Intelligence, 45 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 70 Shiny Aerodactyl.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities, and a Diancite.
Moves: Aqua Step, Boulder Drop (stronger Rock Slide), Milk Drink.
Abilities: Primordial Sea, Desolate Land, Barren Desert (sandstorm and Grass move
negation as long as the user is on the field.)

Gambler: (No specialisation)

Apprentice:
Instructor: Shadow Six Felix is originally found in the New Dawn’s Headquarters.
Requirements: 10 Skill, 10 Intelligence, 10 Charm.
Quest: Show him a Meowth.
Completion reward: +1% damage with all attacks, +25% money gained in battles, the right to
learn moves and change abilities, an Amulet Coin.
Moves: Fated Fortune (Happy Hour), Metronome, High Roller (randomly increases either
Attack or Speed.)
Abilities: Super Luck, Victory Star, Normalize.

Expert:
Requirements: 25 Skill, 25 Intelligence, 25 Charm.
Quest: Show him a Shiny Meowth or a Shiny Persian.
Completion reward: +1% damage with all attacks, the right to learn moves and change
abilities.
Moves: Rigged Game (Foul Play but normal), Acupressure, Roulette Spin (Normal-type
Physical Ancient Power.)
Abilities: Hustle, Scrappy, Competitive.

Master:
Requirements: 45 Skill, 45 Intelligence, 45 Charm.
Quest: Show him a level 70 Shiny Togekiss.
Completion reward: a level 5 Togepi provided upon accepting the quest, +1% damage with
all attacks, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Togekissite.
Moves: Critical Calamity (a multi hit move with BP varying between 10 and 50 for each hit;
the overall BP oscillates between 30 and 375), Jackpot Bonanza (Normal + Steel Flying
Press with a Pay Day effect), Rainbow Road (sets up Rainbow).
Abilities: Good as Gold, Gambler Luck (Serene Grace for Normal-type moves), All or
Nothing (Roll a D50 every turn. The result increases damage done and taken by said
percentage.)

Dark Alignment Classes:

Ninja: (Bug, Dark, Poison)

Apprentice:
Instructor: He is originally found in Rain Forest.
Requirements: 10 Dark Aura, 15 Intelligence, 15 Skill.
Quest: Show him a Shedinja.
Completion reward: +4% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Toxic Thread, Shuriken Throw (Physical Dark-type Water Shuriken), Switcheroo.
Abilities: Infiltrator, White Smoke, Frisk.

Expert:
Requirements: 20 Dark Aura, 25 Intelligence, 30 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 50+ Ninjask and give him 2 Smoke Balls.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Toxic Spikes, Parting Shot, First Impression.
Abilities: Poison Touch, Quick Draw, Technician.

Master:
Requirements: 35 Dark Aura, 50 Intelligence, 50 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 70 Greninja.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities, and the ability to teach Ninjask Wonder Guard.
Moves: Sticky Web, Knock Off, Quiver Step (+1 Speed & +1 SpA status move).
Abilities: Venomize (Poison-type Aerilate), Adaptability, Velocity (Speed Moxie).

Dark Knight: (Steel, Ground, Dark)

Apprentice:
Requirements: Become an Apprentice Knight, then find your new Instructor to become an
Expert Dark Knight.
Moves: Comeuppance, Harden, Piledriver (Ground-type Seismic Toss)
Abilities: Battle Armor, Iron Barbs, Shield Dust.

Expert:
Instructor: Shadow Six Rexzo is in Boulder Province.
Requirements: 25 Dark Aura, 25 Strength, 25 Skill.
Quest: Show him a Tyranitar and 2 Dark Gems.
Completion reward: conversion of the previous class boost, +3% damage with class type
Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, a revamp of the Apprentice Knight
set.
Moves: Shield Bash (Steel-type Body Press), High Horsepower, Doom Blade (a Dark-type
Brick Break).
Expert Abilities: Vicious Edge (the enemy loses 1/8th of its HP after being hit with a slashing
or claw move), Guts, No Guard

Master:
Requirements: 45 Dark Aura, 40 Strength, 40 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 70+ Shadow Kingambit.
Completion reward: a level 5 Pawniard provided upon accepting the quest, +3% damage
with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Scizorite.
Moves: Abyssal Slash (stronger Night Slash), Tectonic Cleave (Ground-type Sacred Sword),
Swords Dance.
Abilities: Sword of Ruin, Unjustify (Dark-type Aerilate), Sharpness.

Necromancer: (Ghost, Dark, Psychic)

Apprentice:
Instructor: Shadow Six Barret is originally found in Haunted Manor.
Requirements: 10 Dark Aura, 20 Intelligence, 15 Skill.
Quest: Bring him a Spiritomb.
Completion reward: +4% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Punishment, Miracle Eye, Bitter Malice
Abilities: Stench, Mummy, Bad Dreams

Expert:
Requirements: 20 Dark Aura, 30 Intelligence, 25 Skill.
Quest: Show him a Shadow Spiritomb.
Completion reward: +3% damage with class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and
change abilities.
Moves: Psycho Cut, Shadow Bone, Dark Pulse.
Abilities: Cursed Body, Wandering Spirit, Shadow Tag.

Master:
Requirements: 40 Dark Aura, 50 Intelligence, 40 Skill.
Quest: Show him a level 75 Shadow Skeledirge.
Completion reward: a level 5 Fuecoco provided upon accepting the quest, +3% damage with
class type Pokémon, the right to learn moves and change abilities, and a Gengarite.
Moves: Dark Dirge (70% accurate Sing), Psychic Chains (Psychic-type Thunder Cage),
Phantom Hand (Special 90 base power Thief).
Abilities: Gouliate, Dirty Deeds (powers up Dark moves by 50%), Soul Heart.
