The Lantern

Beside a grassy meadow there was a young boy who was

fishing in the river from the top of the bridge. Behind him
the sun was setting.The young boy was wearing a red and
white top and a pair of black jeans.

While the boy was fishing on the bridge an angel passed

by. She wore a long white dress made from the finest silk
and a halo connected to a headband. She had long
blonde hair and beautiful white wings. The boy glanced
behind him. She was crossing the bridge when suddenly a
group of fireflies caught her attention.

She giggled and ran to chase the fireflies away. But she
dropped her lantern when she went to chase the fireflies.
She continued to play with them until the sun went down
and it was dark. She got lost in the cornfield.

Meanwhile the boy was the lantern on the ground as he

was about to return home. He picked it up and he
remembered that it belonged to the angel. He realised
that she was lost. Suddenly an idea flashed in his mind.
He ran to his treehouse and found his rocket then fished a
star out of the sky. The light was so bright that the angel
could see it all the way from the cornfield. She started to
walk to towards the cornfield and found her way out. Then
they both sat on the bridge watching the stars gaze in the
dark blue sky.
