Structure + The pump is mainly composed of motor, pump head, diffuser, impel- ler, eylinder, inlet & outlet chamber, pump shaft, mechanical seal and so on. Refer to Fig. 1. + Key part of the pump, diffuser, impeller, eylinder, shaft, are all made of stainless steel. For CDL series, material of pump head and inlet & outlet chamber is made of cast iron. While for CDLF series, they are made of ta- inless steel + Mechanical seal is a single face seal. Seal part is cemented carbides! carbon. Support part of support diffuser is made of tungsten carbide. + Normally, pipes are connected by round flanges. Different typesof connections are also available on demand of customer. If pump is used for boiler water supply, acheck valve must ‘be installed in the piping between pump and boiler + Pump shall be installed in cement base or other similar base with suitable height. It canalso be installed in fixed grounds or fixed brackets ‘on wall, Pay attention not fo let the weight of pipe system on pump to pre- vent pump from damage. Caution: When installation, motor is not allowed to be bung upside down, Arrow on the inlet and outlet chamber shows the direction of flow ‘of liquid through the pump. Check whether the liquid ean flow easily be- fore starting pump. Before pump installation, the inlet pipe line shall be cleaned. A. Before open the terminal box, please shut off the power supply to prevent from power shock. Start-up, operation and maintenance Caution: Read the label on the cylinder carefully before start-up. [Do nat start the pump until it has been filled with water or liquid fully. + Fill water in pump in inverse pouring system. Close the pump outlet valve, release air vent screw on the pump heed, ‘and open the inlet valve slowly until stable water flows from the air vent s- crew, Then fasten the screw, Open the check valve completely in the inlet pipeline. + In open system, fill water in pump when liquid surface is lower than Notice: Acheck valve shall be installed in the inlet pipe Close the pump outlet valve, release air vent serew and fil the liquid in pump through the air vent serow hole until the pump and inlet pipe line are filled with water fully. Fasten the air vent screw again. ‘Caution: Do not start the pump until it has been filled with liquid fully ‘and ait vented. Be careful the direction of the ir vent serew hole, Make sure the Mowing water will not hurt persons or pump or its parts. Arrow on the pump head indicates the correct direction of rota~ tion, That is, from the motor end, pump shall ran counter-ctockwise. 3.Check before pump start-up = Check whether the foundation bolt is fasten. + Check whether pump is filled with water fully. + Check whether the voltage of power supply is correct Check whether it urns correctly. = Tomake sure all pipe lines are connected tightly and can supply w- ater normally. = Tho valves inthe inlet pipe line are completely opened and the outlet valve shall be opened slowly alter the pump is started up. + Check the operation pressure if pressure meter is installed. ‘Check all the controls for normal operation. Ifthe pump is controlled by pressure switch, check and adjust the starting pressure and stopping pr~ ‘essure. Cheek the Tull loadcurrent to make sure itnot surpasses the max. Current 4 Frequency of pump starts Pump should not be started too frequently. Itis suggested pump shall fot be started more than 100 times per hour if the motor power is less or equal 10 4kW, When motor power is big than 4RW, pump shall not be sta- aa ted more than 20 times in one hour If pump starts and stops too freque- tly, control device shall be checked and adjusted to make pump not start and stop too frequently. Also, itis necessary to check the installation, S.Suggestion: When pumnp running, low should be controlled at the rane ‘oF 05-1.3 times of rated flow. 6.Dump which is installed aecording ( this installation manual will work cffectively and require a litle maintenance. Mechanical seal will be adjusted automatically, the moving part and stationary partis lubricated and cooled by the transfering liquid. When re- place the mechanical seal, the user needn't co disassemble the motor for power bigger than 7.5kW. ‘The bearing in pump is lubricated by the transfering 7.Frost Protecting Purp can be used in the system with anti-frazen measures to water. Ifthe pump is installed in easily frozen place, suitable antifreeze shall be added to the transfering liquid to prevent pump from being damaged. If antifreeze is not used, pump shall be stopped when itis frozen. VL Assemble and disassemble J.CDL and CDLF 1. 2.3.4 Put the citelip cover on the shan, and then fi the sleeve, impeller, m= pelier sleeve, diffuser, suppor diffuser. Continue the assemble order tll the last impeller is fitted. Then fit the impeller cover, washer, serew the nut. Pay attention tothe position of the suppor diffuser, for less stages pump, the lest fone is suppor diffuser. For more tages pump, support diffuser should be creased accordingly, the distance of each support diffuser should be even, 2- ind pat on the support sleeve and bearing with support diffuse. + Pat the indacer on the inlet & outlet charnbes, and then ft the finished parts as above on the inducer. + Fitthe O-ring on the inlet & outlet chamber, put on the eylinder and the top diffuser. ~ Pat the pam head installed with O-ring, lining and corrugated spring ‘on the eylinder. Serew the four nuts of the stay bolts on the base plate. Do not tighten one nut completely at onetime, but tighten them symmetrically intum, + Fit the mechanical seal and tighten it, then install motor and coupling serew the bolts in coupling(but not tightly),press the coupling and shaft d- ‘own to the direction ofthe base plate. Then lift it about Imm in reverse di ection, tighten the serews. Note thatthe space between the nwo couplings should be equal «Tighten fixing bolt in mechanical sea, rotate the coupling to ensure that the shaft can rotate freely and not be choked. Reverse the process above can disassemble a pump. 2,CDL and CDLF 8, 16, 16, 20 * Put the cirelip cover on the shat, and then fit the sleeve, impeller, im- pellr sleeve, diffuser, support diffuser, bearing, support sleeve. Continue ‘the assemble order til the lst impeller is fited, and then fatal the impeller cover, washer, tighten the nuts. ‘Pu the inlet & outlet chamber on the base plate, then put the O-ring, clamp plate, inducer on inlet & outlet charaber, then put the finished parts ‘on the inducer, and put the op diffuser on the top tighten nuts of straps. At last, put on the eylinder Put the pump head installed with O-ring, lining and adjusting rubber ‘on the cylinder then tighten the four stay bolts symmetrically in turn. + Fite mechanical seal and tighten it, then install motor and coupling, serew the bolts in coupling(but not tighty),press the coupling and shaft d- ‘own tothe direction of the base plate. Then lift it about Imm in reverse di 33. rection, tighten the serews. Note that the space between the two couplings should be equal. Tighten fixing bolts in mechanical seal, rotate the coupling to ensure thatthe shaft can rotate freely and not be choked. Reverse the process above can disassemble a pump. 3.CDL and CDLF 32, 42, 65, 85 + Put the inlet & outlet chamber on the base plate, fit fanges on inlet & outlet chamber at two sides, and fit the inducer. Put the frst impeller on the sha tighten the nuts and pat the impeller ‘on the neck ring base of inducer. then put on the diffuses impeller, support diffaser, until the top diffuser, then fix all the diffuser with the straps. shaft parts fit the botiom sleeve, cover, washer on the shal tighten the bolts, fit bottom bearing on the inlet & outlet chamber, Tt washer. Th- en put the shaft parts on the inlet & outlet chamber, fit on O-ring, lubricate the O ring and then put on the eylinder. Fit stay bolts on the base plate, then fit the O-ring, adjusting rubber, air vent gag on the pump head, and put the pump head on the stay bolts, th- en put on the washer and tighten all the nuts. Fit the mechanical seal on the pump head, then fit the seal cover, tig- Inen the bolts, andthe bolts inthe seal. Lift the shaft and insen the adjesting slice Fite bracket and motor on the pump head Finally ithe coupling tighten the bolts, and take out the adjusting slice. Rotate the coupling to ensure thatthe shaft can rotate freely and not be ch- ‘kod, Roverse the above process to disassemble a pump. 4.CDL and CDLF 120, 150 ut the inlet & outlet chamber on the baseplate fit Manges on inlet & outlet charnber at two sides, and fit the inducer. Fit washer(PN58), shalt sleove(PN17), inlet impeller steeve(PNS7), cover(PNI8), washer, fasten the nut + Fit impeller shaft sleeve(PNI6), impeller, fasten impeller nu((PN15), ensure the size is 14.3 as figure 4 shows. 234 Figure 4 ut the shaft parts on the inducer, fit support diffuser, impeller sleeve, impeller, fasten impeller nut, then, fit diffuser, impetier,ete. tll the last di- fluser. Fit the top diffuser, use straps to fasten all diffusers. Fit O-ring on the inlet and outlet chamber, lubricate them and put on cylinder. Fit stay bolts on the base plate, fit O-ring on the pump head, adjusting rubber, ar vent serew, ete. Then put pomp head on the stay bolts, fit washer, fasten aut, Fit the mechanical seal on the pump head, then fit the seal cover, tig- bon the bolts, and tighten the bolts in the seal. Lift the shaft and insert the adjusting slice Fit the bracket and motor on the pump head. Finally fit he coupling, tighten the bols, and take out the adjusting slice. Rotate the coupling 10 e- nnsure that the shaft can rotate freely and not be choked and loose, Reverse the above process to disassemble a pump. 35.
