1- Wadih El Safi (Arabic: ‫وديع الصافي‬, born Wadih Francis; November 1, 1921 – October 11, 2013)

was a Lebanese singer and composer. He was a Lebanese icon and the forefather of the
country's musical culture. He was the longest singer in production, seventy-five years in the
singing profession.. He is the reference to every new singer and the example to follow for
generations to come.Born in Niha, Lebanon, Wadih El Safi started his artistic journey at the age
of sixteen when he took part in a singing contest held by Lebanese Radio and was chosen the
winner of all categories among 40 other competitors.

2- zaki Nassif (Arabic: ‫ )زكي ناصيف‬is of the first generation Lebanese composers who accompanied
the rise of Radio Liban in the 1940s and continues today as a force in Lebanese folk music. Born
in Machghara, the largest town in the western Bekaa Valley in 1915 and was involved in music
and country folk poetry (zagal, maannaa, ataba, mijana, abu el zuluf, etc) at an early age. He was
one of the Big Five who contributed material to Radio Orient and Radio Liban in the 1950s

3- Umm Kulthum[a] (31 December 1898– 3 February 1975) was an Egyptian singer, songwriter, and
film actress active from the 1920s to the 1970s. She was given the honorific title Kawkab al-
Sharq ("Planet of the East").In her native Egypt, Kulthum is a national icon; she has been dubbed
as "The Voice of Egypt"and "Egypt's Fourth Pyramid".In 2023, Rolling Stone ranked Kulthum at
number 61 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.

4- Baligh Hamdi (Egyptian Arabic: 7 October 1931 – 12 September 1993) was an Egyptian composer
who created and composed many hit songs for several Arab singers, especially during the 1960s
and 1970s. He composed Warda's most famous songs, and the two got married for a long
period.
