Dancing Leaves and Singing Clouds
Sophie is running late for school again. "I can't
believe it," she thinks. "This is the millionth time, or at
least it feels this way!"
She knows she has to hurry, so she runs like a
cheetah through the snow-covered streets. She is as
quiet as a mouse, trying not to wake up her
neighbors.
Sophie wishes she could sleep like a baby, but she
knows she has to get to school.
As she runs, the clouds sing and the leaves dance in
the wind around her. Sophie feels like she is in a
magic world.
The snow is a blanket over the houses, and the road
is a sea of colors. Everything looks so beautiful.
Finally, she arrives at school just in time. "Boy, I am
so hungry from all the running. I could eat a horse!"
But Sophie is happy because she made it on time,
and she feels proud of herself for running like a
cheetah. She knows that even though life can be
tough sometimes, she can always find a way to
overcome it if she keeps running!
