Statistical Inference
BBA-III
COURSE OUTLINE
Course Description:
This course examines the various aspects of inferential statistics including probability, normal distribution,
difference between point and confidence interval estimates. The estimation and hypothesis testing of both
parametric and non parametric. It gives clear insight about the testing procedures of one, two, multiple
means, medians, modes, standard deviations and populations proportions. It covers regression,
correlation both descriptive/inferential aspects & its application which will be helpful in upcoming courses.

Course Objectives:
The objectives of this course are to provide basic knowledge to the students about sampling and its
techniques, Estimation and hypothesis testing, difference between parametric and non parametric tests,
Testing of one, two and multiple means, medians, modes, standard deviations and population procedures,
application of regression and correlation and its importance in complex business decision making.
