The ‘Royal’ Double Rifle is built to the very best
standards. Fast and instinctive to use, our ‘Royal’
has the strength to weight ratios necessary to fire
powerful cartridges and heavy bullets with
great accuracy.
The bolstered action is elegant and strong. Back
action locks allow for a solid bar, adding rigidity
and weight where it is most needed.
The articulated front trigger guards against
bruising whilst our patent ejector system is simple
and reliable.
The ‘Royal’ Double Rifle is available in any rimless,
flanged or belted calibre. Each gun has individually
regulated chopper-lump barrels, a time-proven
side lock mechanism, bolts, and ejectors.

Back-action and bolstered, hand-detachable sidelock design. Two
triggers – the front hinged, extended top strap, with a manual or
automatic safety.

BARRELS
From 22in. to 26in. (56cm to 66cm) chopper-lump barrels, with
traditional sling loop, wide-V rear-sight rearsight with one folding
leaf, combined moon-protector foresight, regulated to 50 yards with
client specified ammunition as standard, variations available on
request at time of order.

STOCK
Selected walnut, polished, oiled, and finished to the individual’s
measurements with pistol grip and a cap box for spare foresight,
cheekpiece, recoil pad, an optional gold oval engraved with initials
and crest.

The origins of the ‘Round Action’ Rifle can be traced

back to the popular Dominion model of the past century.

 THE ‘ROUND ACTION’ RIFLE
The ‘Round Action’ is made from the same high-
quality materials used in all our rifles, by the same
craftsmen, to exacting standards. The strong, solid-
bar action is machined from a billet of steel; the
rebounding back-locks are fitted with intercepting
safety sears and the rounded body allows for
smooth and easy handling.
Like our ‘Royal’ Double Rifle, the ‘Round Action’
Rifle’s chopper-lump barrels have cut rifling and
a proven ejector system. The result is an elegant
rifle, easy to handle and with perfect mechanical
efficiency.

triggers – the front floating for large calibres, with a manual or

client specified ammunition as standard, variations available on
request at time of order.

STOCK
Selected walnut, polished, and oiled with fully rounded pistol grip,
steel grip cap, cheekpiece, recoil pad or heelplate, an optional gold
oval engraved with initials or crest.

MAGAZINE RIFLE
Our heritage and prowess in rifle making is
unsurpassed and we have been making exceptional
and dependable rifles for well over a century. Our
quick-detachable mount allows a telescopic sight
to be removed and refitted in seconds without
the need to re-zero. The rugged bolt action and
box magazine have served dependably in the
harshest hunting conditions for generations. The
specifications for our Bolt Action Rifles range
from rugged and practical all the way through to
exhibition grade examples.

A Mauser model 98 style action with modified bolt, single-
stage trigger and optional wing or side safety for use with a
telescope sight.

BARRELS
Fitted with a standard wide-V Rearsight with one folding leaf and
a standard foresight with a folding protector, the barrel band with
quick-detachable sling loop.

STOCK
Selected walnut with a traditional or Monte Carlo comb style
cheekpiece, pistol hand cap box for spare foresight, chequered grip
and oil finish, rubber recoil pad or horn butt plate, an optional gold
oval engraved with initials or crest.

BESPOKE FITTING

The beginning of every

Holland & Holland gun is the fitting,
as all rifles are built bespoke with
the owners needs in mind.

Once your order has been placed, you will be invited to visit the
Holland & Holland Shooting Grounds where our world-class team will
perform a full gunfit. Your fitting will include practical shooting time with
our try-guns along with the more traditional measurements.
This allows us to build a true picture of your shooting form,
allowing for a truly bespoke fit.

STOCKING & FINISHING

All customers have the opportunity to

personally choose their stock blanks
from our collection of the highest-grade
Turkish Circassian walnut.
Once chosen, your stock is hand carved to fit your measurements
and specification. When your gun is nearing completion stocks are
sent for finishing where multiple coats of fine oil are hand applied
giving that London ‘best’ finish.

From our timeless designs to elaborate

game scenes, there is no limit to the
personalisation possible.
All double rifle models receive hundreds of hours of hand engraving by
our skilled team of artisans to create the iconic works of art. Our Bolt
Action Magazine Rifles can also be customised and embellished to satisfy
any brief. Bespoke engraving is available on all models, to discuss a
personalised design please contact our file specialists for more details.
Optional colour cased hardening is availble on all double rifles
at no additional cost.
