that people around us feel comfortable and relaxed.

2.b In pairs, discuss what you can do to create a positive first impression with an interviewer. Think
about the following points.
-Your appearance

-Body language

-how “to break the ice” with the interviewer

Ways of creating a positive first impression include: arriving on time; dressing appropriately
for the interview; smiling; acting in a confident, relaxed way. Demonstrate that you have done some
research into the company, know what you are talking about, and speak using clear, concise, positive
language
