"The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo played a significant role in the history of Mexico and
the US. After hard conflicts, the border line was moved down to El Rio Bravo, and
Mexico lost a great part of its territory to the United States. This show is a tribute to
those who, by choosing to stay on the other side of the border, became American
citizens, facing estrangement on their own land, and to Mexican immigrants that arrived
and called this country their new home, weaving a cultural impact on the United States.
Today, our rich culture continues to flourish, becoming a new identity for this nation.
