Hearing God’s voice

1 samuel 3: 1-10

Question: Do you ever feel like hindi mo deserve yung meron ka ngayon? Parang wala ka sa
calling na binigay ni Lord?

God wants you. God chose you. God put the genetics in you, the DNA in you, the passion in you.

WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU IS FOR YOU. That’s why you don’t have to be jealous, resentful,
bitter, or insecure.

ipilit kase God will make a way for you.

1 Samuel 3:9
“So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say ‘Speak Lord, for your servant is
listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.

Often times, we feel like we have to hurry and chase everything before it is too late. Baka eto
pala plano ni Lord dapat eto piliin ko bago mawala but no IF IT WAS GOD SPEAKING, HE’LL
COME BACK. ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS BE IN POSITION FOR IT.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO FIND HIM. HE WILL FIND YOU!

(God called Samuel 3 times.

God is not playing hide and seek in the tabernacle. Even if it God is always moving, he is never
hiding.

Ano ba yung story behind tabernacle? Before marating nina Moses yung promised land, they
continued to make a tabernacle or a place of worship na portable yung pwede nila ilipat at
dalhin kase nga paalis alis sila. And that’s the mere purpose of the tabernacle, nakaset sya sa
wilderness because they never knew when God was going to say, “stop and go”

why? Because God does not want you to depend on His will; He wants you to depend on Him.
There’s a big difference.

Will vs. Him

Will – God show me what to do and I’ll start moving (that way you won’t need Him anymore).
Him – God I want you wherever it leads me, wherever you take me, whatever it means,
whatever it costs, and whatever it looks like.
Tas
iiwan na lang natin Siya sa ere and then manage it all by ourseleves then come back to Him
naexhaust ka because IT WAS NOT FOR YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE. You try to fit in at all times
that you feel like EVERYTHING AROUND YOU IS ABOUT YOU!

You can be a Christian but end up not hearing God’s voice. To know Him is to know His voice.
When you get to know Him, you can hear things that are hard to hear. He says them from the
spirit of love, grace, and purpose.
1 Samuel 3:9
So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is
listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in HIS PLACE.”

You will realize God’s purpose when you get in YOUR PLACE. But what’s the meaning when you
say in YOUR PLACE? Sarili mo. It means that you will realize God’s purpose when you show Him
the real you, the honest you, the open you, the ready you, the humble you, the broken-down
you.

You don’t have to pretend someone whom you are not just to hear God’s voice akala natin mas
pinakikinggan tayo ni Lord pag malinis tayo but no! Isaiah said in Isaiah 6:5
"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of
unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

Even Moses that he is slow at speech but he said, if it God’s calling, here I am. We all have
flaws! Even Jeremiah, he said he was too young to accomplish God’s plan but he said, if it’s
God’s will, here I am. HERE I AM.

Pero ano ba? Alin ba?
employee, student, kapatid, kaibigan. Gusto ko rin maging ganto ganyan one day. Alin ba dun?
This is the conflict of calling.

But the answer is always availability, presence, and access.

God wants us to get to the place where we are not running around all the time talking about
what we’re gonna do one day. “pag nagtapos ako, magbubusiness ako. Ay dapat at this age

Some of you are using the concept of calling as a way to not fully embrace the season and that
is not will of God for you! Asan ka ba ngayon? Are you not called to be student? A casino
dealer? An office clerk?
Enjoy your season. Is it the season of pagtatanim? Enjoy it. Season of
harvest? Embrace it!

“ay siguro kaya di pa ako tinatawag ni Lord because I am not yet fully equipped wala pa akong

You may be called to be that successful woman who has a stable job, decent career, and savings
to give back for your parents. But the only thing that God has ever wanted from you was all of
you. He wants to hear from you saying, “Lord, here I am” Here I am as someone who is a
teenager trying to explore Your Word and Your Vision, and a student who has to know lots of
lessons”

Here I am, flawed and imperfect. And all He ever wanted was all of you. Ganun kadali, kailangan
magmarunong. Kung sino ka, yun ang tanggap Niya.
