Subject : National Seminar on “Achieving the Seal of Good Local Governance thru Technology and
Innovation”

Dear Sir/Madam,

Consistently, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has emphasized the indispensable role played by Local
Government Units (LGUs) and Barangays in steering transformative change and genuine progress in their communities and the nation.
As underscored by the promotion of good governance, accountability, transparency, and efficiency, in Gender and Development
(GAD) and Procurement Processes, among others.

In this light, the Philippine League of Disbursing Officers and Municipal Treasurers, and the Philippine Academy for Business
and Government Management, Inc., will hold a National Seminar on "Achieving the Seal of Good Local Governance through
Technology and Innovation." on the following dates and venues:

The objectives of the Seminar are:


1. Empower local government officials to achieve the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) by leveraging technology and
innovation.
2. Foster understanding of SGLG criteria, promote best practices, and provide practical skills for building a technology-enabled
governance strategy.
3. Inspire continuous improvement, collaboration, and preparedness for SGLG assessment among participants.

Among the topics to be discussed are the following:


1. Introduction to Good Local Governance and SGLG
2. Role of Technology in Local Governance
3. Innovations in Local Governance
4. SGLG Criteria and Assessment Process:
5. Best Practices in Technology-Driven Local Governance
6. Case Studies and Success Stories
7. Practical Exercises and Workshops

Participants to this activity are the Local Chief Executives (LCEs); the Vice Mayor and Staff; Sangguniang Bayan Members and staff;
City/Municipal Administrator; Heads of Departments and Staff; BAC Chairman, Members, Sectetariat, TWG and Alternates; GAD
Focal Persons; MDRRMO Personnel; MENRO; City/Municipal Planning Development Office; Treasurers, Accountants, Assessors,
Disbursing Officers; Punong Barangays and Staff, Barangay Treasurers, Sangguniang Barangay/SK Members and all concerned LGU
personnel and Barangay Personnel.

A registration fee of P5,300.00 will be charged each participant to cover expenses for the speaker’s fees, rentals for the venue, lunch,
snacks, handouts and certificates. However, a discounted fee of P4,500.00 shall be given to participants who will register/confirm in
advance. As this is a live-out seminar, theorganizers will recommend an affordable lodging/hotel/accommodation for the participants,
accessible to the seminar venue. Only Cash Payments will be accepted during registration. Please see attached DILG
