Reflection 2

After analyzing my 3 artefacts, I've discovered different variations of literary devices being
used in two of materials. in my first article by Myrin Herlle and Vivian Astray (2013), it was written with
formal diction. This article was very detailed with definitions and simple explanations, making it easier to
comprehend, also the analogy when comparing the inputs and outcomes in business relationships good
behavior of employees and job benefits can help the audience relate to this concept. The news clip
entitled “Social media trend tackles workplace burnout” (2023) also has a few literary devices for
example the term “bare minimum Mondays” is a Metaphore and the parse “may backfire on you” is
ironic, as it suggests that taking it easy on Monday may lead to negative consequences.

Another use of language I noticed in my materials is the tone in which the information from
each article was delivered, the news clip was a mixture of light-heartedness and seriousness and
practical advice all while making it engaging for a wide audience all while highlighting the importance of
maintaining balanced approach to work. The news article is informational and academic with detailed
information on the pros and cons of social media, it could be useful for researchers, managers, or
individuals interested in the impact of social media in the workplace. Both the new clip and the article
expressed concern for what social media can do to adult productivity in the workplace, my other
artefact was a photograph that expressed the topic perfectly it was vibrant in color and just by looking
at it you could tell what it was about.

In conclusion, the examination of these three artifacts has disclosed a different array of literary
equipment and intercommunication styles utilized to express their respective messages all while
keeping it fun professional and helpful for a lot of people who may need this information.
