Universal Children’s Day

The universal children’s day take place on November 20 th every year since 1954. Celebrated
the progress made, is a day to appeal attention to the situation of the most disadvantaged
boys and girls, raise awareness of children's rights and raise people's awareness of the
importance of working day by day for their well-being and development.

In 1959 The UN General Assembly approved the Declaration of the Rights of the child, the
purpose is people remember that kids are a vulnerable group whose suffer crises, damage and
problems of the world caused by the people and conditions around them. Therefore, people
should promote the fraternity between child and promote their well-being, specially, respect
their health right, education right and protection right. In addition, UNICEF works to protect
the childhood’s rights and get real changes in the lives of millions of children for 75 years.

It is a special day to contribute and support with the vulnerable group of children that live in
shelters and help to children that live in the street. All people even children deserve a better
style of life with basic rights where they make their own future, so we have to encourage to
our families to support our neighbor with good values and actions that make important
changes in the lives of children.
