Relay Box Truck Guide

Identifying Amazon to Amazon Loads

In Relay, the destination will typically be a 4 digit code followed by a city

**Always verify the equipment type prior to booking.

Searching for Box Truck Work in Relay

On the Available Work tab of the Load Board page in the carrier Relay account, select
“26’ Truck” in the “Equipment” field to see only box truck work.

Posting Box Truck Capacity in Relay

Box truck carriers can save time and find suitable work opportunities by creating Post
A Truck orders. On the Post a Truck tab, make sure to select "One-way" in the "Work
type" field, "Carrier owned" in the "Equipment" field, and "26'" in the "Trailer" field.

Before your load
• Assign drivers as soon as possible – the earlier the better

• Drivers must be assigned at least 6 hours prior to the loads scheduled arrival time

• Ensure drivers are aware of the PPE and equipment requirements

• Ensure the Relay App has been downloaded and is functioning for the assigned drivers
• Uncharged devices or app issues at check in could result in a driver being removed from
a route

• Drivers must wear PPE, including safety vest, closed toe shoes, and long hair pulled up

• COVID-19 - Ensure drivers are prepared with the required face coverings and requirements
detailed in the Relay App

**If you cannot execute a load that you booked, you MUST reject it as soon as possible.

Pre-registration
After a driver is assigned
work, they need to tap
“Begin work” on their app.

The driver will need to


enter in the box truck’s
details. Once this
information has been
entered once, the driver
can click on the saved
vehicle.

Heading to the Pickup Location

When ready to begin work,


the driver can tap Navigate
to access the built in
commercial navigation.

The app will also alert the


driver to any hazards or
disruptions in the area.

Picking up your load
Gate pass will be scanned upon entry.
After the gate pass has been scanned, tap
the “Tap after scan” button at the bottom
of the screen.

GPS location
services will
detect arrival.

Scheduled arrival times cannot be


adjusted. If you cannot ensure on-time
arrival, you must reject the load.

Always report delays via the Relay app.

Departing the Shipper

Once loaded, the


mobile app will
show the first
receiver and arrival
information. Built
in navigation can be
selected.

Arriving at Receiver
• GPS will detect your arrival.
• ALWAYS REPORT DELAYS when safe to do so-this allows
Amazon and the receiver to track the status of the delivery if
delays are present. Drivers can add detailed notes in the app.

Getting Ahold of ROC

For urgent matters, drivers can access the


click to call feature located in the Support
Center of the app menu. The driver will
select from a series of prompts regarding
their issue to initiate the call-back process.
