LOW FLOW AERATORS TO
TAPS
Low-flow aerators can help reduce
faucet flow from 4.0 gallons/minute to
<1.5 gallons/minute. Low-flow aerators
simply screw onto the end of faucets
and reduce flow without changing
water pressure. It’s an easy and cheap
option that will significantly reduce
water usage. Your organization may
even have aerators on hand and can
help install them.
02 AVOID SINGLE PASS
COOLING

Single-pass or once-through cooling systems

provide an opportunity for significant water
savings. In these systems, water is circulated once
through a piece of equipment and is then disposed
down the drain.Single-pass cooling is often used
to cool reactions, but there are other, more
efficient ways to cool chemical reactions.

A pump can be used to recirculate the water,
