Summary Of Alchemist A Novel

You are about to listen to a magical story which has inspired millions of
people. The Alchemist a novel, This is the story of a shepherd named Santiago
who was going to a place with his herd called Andalusia in Spain.
While walking all day long, he reaches a barren church to sleep at night in
the middle of which there was a big Fig tree. He sleeps under that tree with his
sheep. That night he has a dream the same dream which has been coming to him
for many years, where Santiago is going towards the Egyptian pyramids while
riding his sheep, where there is a hidden treasure, which Santiago gets.
After waking up in the morning, Santiago was confused but he continued on
the way, There he met a woman, That woman says to him You will get your
treasure in the Egyptian pyramids. Santiago gets very angry because he already
knew this. After this, Santiago continued on his way, where he meets a poor
looking man who claims that he is the king of Salem, King Melchizedek. That king
shared the idea of personal legend with Santiago.
Personal legend is something that a person always wants to get, but as his age
increases this world forces him to walk on a safe, respectable and practical path
and that thing goes away from him and a person forgets about his personal
legend. That king also told Santiago that when we want something badly then the
whole universe helps us to reach there.
After all this, Santiago sells all his sheep and goes in search of that hidden
treasure. He took a boat ticket and he reached Tangier, Morocco. After reaching
there, Santiago reached a restaurant where he met a boy, After a few minutes
when Santiago was looking somewhere else that boy stole all his money and ran
away. Now, without money, Santiago in an unknown city, Santiago was very upset
and started crying but crying in such an unknown city is not going to change
anything. Santiago started looking for a job and he went to a local crystal
merchant's shop, The shop owner immediately put Santiago on a job.

After 11 months, now he had so much savings that he could either go home
and buy more sheep or he could continue his journey to Egypt with the same
money. So, he decided and he said goodbye to the crystal merchant and he sat in
a caravan and left for Egypt. There he met an Englishman and The Englishman
was looking for such an alchemist he has such powers that he can turn led into
gold.
The caravan stops at the Oasis. The caravan's leader gets the news that the
tribal war has begun in the second part of the desert, That's why he stayed there
for some time.
Where Santiago met Fatima and they fell in love. They started liking each
other a lot, But Santiago said goodbye to Fatima and went towards the pyramids.
As soon as Santiago reached the pyramid. He started digging But he didn't
find anything there. Suddenly some people come and see gold in Santiago's
pocket and snatch all his gold and start beating him. Then Santiago starts
screaming like crazy, I had seen a dream, My treasure is here, My treasure is
under the pyramid. After listening to this, one of them laughs and says, I had also
seen a dream that in an abandoned church in Spain there is a treasure under a fig
tree But I am not that crazy to go to Spain and find a treasure to follow my
dreams.
Santiago realized that something is wrong. He started missing his home, the
valleys of Andalusia in Spain the barren church and the fig tree there. He left
everything and went back to his home, There he started digging under the fig tree,
After digging for a while he finds a box in the ground which has a lot of gold and
jewels, He takes all this gold and goes to Fatima and gets married to her and
stays there.
