X-Rite Color Calibration – What’s New
• On the ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 there is no X-Rite app preloaded
• The color profile change functions are now available in Lenovo Vantage
• When the LCD panel is replaced, the new color profile must be installed using the new X-Rite
Color Tool, which is available on eSupport (once logged in with a servicer account).

• The customer can now select a color profile
among the available ones in Lenovo Vantage
• From the top menu click “Device” and select
“Smart Settings”, then check the advanced
settings

Installing the Color Profile after LCD Panel Replacement
After replacing a defective LCD panel with a new one, the correct color profile must be installed.
The color profile is available on the cloud and the X-Rite Color Tool must be used to download and
install the profile.
1. Get the tool and SOP here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/x_rite_color_tool

(you need to log in using a servicer account)
2. Unzip to the local drive and double-click the ColorTool.exe file
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to input the new display serial number and click “Submit”.
When the new color profiles are installed successfully, all steps will be marked with “√”.
4. Delete the tool files from the customer’s PC.

on the server. The tool will show an
error, and the reason is the device PN
is not find in X-Rite profile server.

4. Delete the Files from the PC
• Make sure you delete the ColoTool.zip and the ColorTool folder before returning the machine to
the customer.
