Elevators « 4eme famille logement foyer – French code»:

 All elevators shall be manufactured and installed as per Lebanese norm NL EN-81-
1:2011 that is based on EN 81-1:1998+A3:2009 (Amendment 3).
 The elevators shall be provided with emergency power and shall be made available for
recall and use by the firefighters as per NF P 82 207 Phase 1 & Phase 2 fireman operations
(Fireman recall key switch at ground floor for phase 1 operation and in car key switch for phase
2 operation)
 The Elevators doors shall ½ hour fire rated (E30) according to EN81-58, test certificate to be
provided, There shall be durable label on the fire rated landing doors indicating clearly the type
of the doors as indicated in the certificate and the reference of the this certificate and the fire
ratio of the door.
 The elevators control panel shall accept two signals from the fire alarm panel for elevator
recall to a designated floor (ground floor) and to an alternate floor (1st floor or basement 1)
 All the following safety devices of the elevator should have an EC type examination
certificates:
 The landing doors locking devices.
 The safety gear.
 The overspeed governor.
 The buffers.
 The safety circuits electronic board.
 The Unintended car movement protection means (UCMP)
 The Ascending car overspeed protection means
