components are moving.
Check
1 Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

2 Check tie rod joint (10a) of right and left tie rod Check tie rod ball joints (10a) for play by
(10) firmly pulling and pushing.
If there are problems:

Subject to a separate repair order, replace the

tie rod ball joint (10a).
3 Check rubber boot (10b) of left and right tie Check rubber boot (10b) for leaktightness
rod joint (10a) and condition.
If there are problems:

Replace tie rod (10) subject to separate repair

order.
4 Check left and right bellows (10c)
Do not check boots (10c) by pressing in or
around the raised bead.
This leads to damage on the plastic and
therefore to leakages.
Stretch bellows (10c) by turning steering to
left and right wheel lock; and check for cracks,
indentations and chafing.
If there are problems:

Subject to a separate repair order, replace the

boot (10c).
5 Lower vehicle
