2019 JUNIOR 3 FORMS AND FUNCTION LESSON PLAN

Lesson By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


Objective(s) 1) Complete all the forms and functions exercises with at least 80%
accuracy in every exercise.

1. Teacher plays a video of a conversation between two

2. Teacher asks students to pay attention to the forms
and functions of each sentences uttered by the friends
in the video. 3 minutes
*Instruction: Let’s listen with the intent to reply and have a

vision of voicing out the correct forms and
functions.
3. Teacher questions students on the forms and
functions used in the video.

1. Teacher quizzes them on the format of UEC exam


Explanation specifically on forms and function section.
2. Teacher introduces three new forms and functions.
Example:
a) To solace
b) To condemn
c) To agonize 5 minutes
*Instruction: Students have to take charge and be responsible
of the given forms and functions.
3. Teacher explains the meaning of the forms given
above.
4. Teacher elicits examples from the students to match
the given forms.
5. Teacher does feedback and error correction.

*Instruction: Let’s cooperate in order to be more effective and

Task 1 (SET 1)

1. Teacher explains the instruction to the students.

dialogues in the form of a role-play.

Production Task 2 (SET 2)

1. Teacher asks students to look at the second set.


2. Teacher asks students to answer the questions in the
groups.
3. Teacher informs students in order to answer the
questions; they are required to hold their palms up
together in the form of a pyramid. 15
4. Teacher only calls the groups that manage to form the minutes
palm pyramid successfully.
5. Teacher elicits answers from that group.
6. Teacher asks remaining group member to give the
definition of the particular form.
7. Teacher does feedback and error correction.

*Note: If time permits, teacher continues with set 3. If


time does not permit, assign the task as homework

CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS ON PREPARING FOR EXAMINATION.
