Title: “Perceived Effectiveness of the Government Internship Program to GIP Graduates in


Bulacan: As Basis of Employability”

Statement of the Problem:

General Problem:

The researchers aim to assess the perceived effectiveness of the Government


Internship Program to the GIP Graduates – its beneficiaries and their employability upon
undergoing the program under the administration of the DOLE (FO) in the municipalities of
Bulacan, under the first District.

Specific Questions:
1. How may the profile of the beneficiaries of DOLE-GIP Malolos field office be described in
terms of:

1.1 Age

1.2 Educational attainment

1.3 Socioeconomic status

1.4 Occupation

2. How did the beneficiaries perceive the effectiveness of the GIP implementation in terms of:

2.1 Employability

2.2 Personal Development

2.3 Financial Capacity

3. What is the employment – related challenges did the beneficiaries experience after taking the
program?

4. What policy recommendations may be proposed to enhance the effects of GIP of DOLE?
RESEARCH INSTRUMENT (Semi - structured Interview for Department of Labor and
Employment (FO) Head and Employees, as well as the interns).

REMINDER: This research instrument is a Semi-Structured Interview that is composed of three


parts such as: Demographic Profile, Questions for the Head of the Agency and Employees (6
questions), and Questions for the GIP Interns (5 questions). This interview might take up to 20 to
25 minutes. Furthermore, the researchers assure the data privacy and confidentiality of the gathered
data from the participants, as it will only be used for academic purposes only.

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT (Survey Questionnaire for Government Internship Program
beneficiaries)

REMINDER: This research instrument is a survey questionnaire containing two parts. The first
part shows the demographic profile of the respondents and the second part pertains to necessary
measures in terms of GIP Implementation and Perceived Effectiveness faced by those interns
during their Government Internship Program which is answerable using a Likert scale. Upon
estimation, the whole survey questionnaire can be answered within 10–15 minutes. Moreover,
respondents will be assured that the data containing personal information provided by them will
remain confidential and will be used only for academic purposes.
