Dear Ms.Coton,

Good afternoon ma’am, I am writing this letter to inform you of my recent absence from August
15 & 18. I regret any inconvenience about my absence and would like to explain the
circumstances that led to my inability to attend class during this time. Due to unforeseen family
matters that needed my immediate presence, I had to be away for school for the specified
period. These family matters demanded my attention and involvement, making it impossible for
me to go to class during this time.

I kindly request your understanding and support in this matter, thank you for your consideration
and understanding. And I am eager to return to class and resume my studies as soon as
possible. Again good afternoon and have a good day ahead.
