It is referred to as Post-Graduate (PG) Degree, that is “Master of Technology” also known as “M.Tech. Degree” i, ‘Programme’ means cohesive arrangement of courses, co-curricular and extracurricular activities to accomplish piedetenmined objectives leading to the awarding of a degree. It also means branch vr discipline of MTech. Degree programme etc. Some Degree programmes also provide options to specialize in a specific domain of interest. Such M.Tech. Degree programmes are titled as the Deere along vith is spealzations i, ‘Course’ means a combination of theory, tutorials and practice sessions of a subject studied in a semester. ‘SRM Institute of Science & Technology — Academic Curricula (2020 M.Tech Regulations) 3 SRM INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY kattankulathur, Chengalpattu District 603203, Tamil Nadu, India Ria iz 42 rad : E ~ rd es E ro E E Number of Seats: ‘The number of seats in each branch of the M-Tech., Programme for which ‘admission is to be made in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology will be decided by the ‘Academic Council / Board of Management, SRMIST. ion: ‘The minimum eligibility for Admission to M.Tech, degree programmes (Regular) shall be based on the following criterias (@) A4-Year Professional Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E/B.Tech,,/BS,, ot its equivalent) fox ‘A Post-Graduate Degree in Science (M.Sc.,/M.C.A., or its equivalent), relevant to the Programme of study. (©) Qualification in SRMIST PG Entrance Examination [or] Qualification in GATE (c) The Qualifying Degree should be from a University recognized /certified by UGC/SRMIST/ AIU (@ The Minimum Percentage of Marks / CGPA prescribed by SRMIST (©) Admissions will also be based on the rules and regulations of the UGC/Competent authorities PG Entrance Examination: The cligibility for appeating for SRMIST PG Entrance ‘Examination and the format shall be mentioned in the Application form and would be decided by the Admissions Committee for the respective year of admission. However, GATE qualified candidates need not write the PG Entrance Examination, Seat Allocation and Admission: ‘The Admission Committee will prepare a merit list based on the marks scored by the candidates in the SRM PG Entrance Examination / GATE and call the applicants in the merit order for counselling. Seats are allotted based on applicant's interest and seat availability. Only those candidates who have scored the minimum eligibility for admission {refer R1.2] will be included in the merit list. Medical Standards for Admission: Candidates have to fulfil the medical standards required for admission as set out by the Admission Committee Fees for Admission: The selected candidate will be admitted to the M.Tech., programme after he/she fulfils all the admission zequirements as indicated in the letter of admission after making the payment of the prescribed fees within the due date announced. Authority for Admission: Any matter related to admission to the M.Tech., programme, the decision of the Admission Committee is final. Revoking Admission: If, at any time after admission, it is found that a candidate has not fulfilled the requirements stipulated in the offer of admission, the Director (Eng. & Tech.) may revoke the admission of the candidate and report the matter to the Vice Chancellor. Academic Calendar; All M.
