To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of Miss Samantha Rios and it is a pleasure and privilege to do so. I
became acquainted with Samantha this year as she is a student in my senior English class and excels at
each assignment she completes. She also serves as my Teacher’s Assistant and she does an amazing job at
keeping me organized, grading assignments and inputting grades. Often she does this without having to
ask. She is very motivated, organized, and very responsible. She works hard to maintain her high 3.3
GPA and she rarely misses a day of school.

Samantha has a warm and genuine personality and adapts easily to any situation. She demonstrates her
competence, energy and commitment to others in every task she undertakes. Not only is Samantha a
strong student academically, but she is also involved in FFA. She has to attend many meetings for FFA
and helps with the showing of animals. In addition to her rigorous school schedule, She also gives back to
her community by completing community service. She helps her aunt with the youth football program.
She works with the kids, she works the snack bar and refills the water for the teams. Her goals after high
school are to attend a community college and then transfer to Sacramento State University to attain her
degree in English and become an English teacher.

Samantha’s motivation in the academic arena, as well as in her personal life is impressive and it shows in
everything she does. I believe that Samantha should be at the top of any group of applicants when being
considered for a scholarship or a job. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you should have further
