Book -John 1

Verses 1-51
Summary :
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. The
Word, which is Jesus, was
present at the creation of the
world.

John the Baptist came to prepare

the way for Jesus and testified
that Jesus is the “Lamb of God”
who takes away the sins of the
world.

Many people didn’t recognize

Jesus, but those who did
received the right to become
children of God through faith
in Him.

The chapter also recounts the

calling of Jesus’ first disciples,
including Andrew, Simon (Peter),
Philip, and Nathanael, who
recognized Jesus as the Son of
God and the King of Israel.

Overall, John 1 introduces the

divinity of Jesus, the testimony
of John the Baptist, and the
calling of some of Jesus’
earliest disciples. It sets the
stage for Jesus’ ministry and
mission.
