Free Tableau Licenses for Students

There are two ways to get a free Tableau license as a student. The Tableau for Teaching version provides access until the end of the semester and requires filling out a simple form. Instruction on how to get free licenses of Tableau Winter 2024

You can install Tableau Desktop on your computer using a free license in two ways:

1. The Tableau for Teaching version which offers you a free license and remains valid until the end
of the semester. You don’t need to request the license. You just need to fill out a simple form.
2. The student version which offers you a free one-year Tableau license. You will need to complete
a form and wait for Tableau to verify your student status and send you the license.

Tableau for Teaching version (one semester access):

Click on this link and select “Download Tableau Desktop”. On the form, enter your school email address
for Business E-mail and enter the name of your school for Organization.

If you need the “Mac” version, click on “Mac” as shown below:

Install both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep:

Once the installation has finished, open Tableau, and from Help menu → Manage Product Keys
→ Activate it with your product key: TCPQ-35D9-6AA0-C656-003A

The student version (one-year access):

Go to student version and click on “GET TABLEU FOR FREE” as shown below:

Fill out the following form using your Concordia email.

If your status as “student” gets approved by Tableau, you will receive an email with the
instruction on how to install and activate the Tableau Desktop.
