1) Project reports should be typed neatly only on one side of the paper with 1.5 line spacing
on a A4 size paper (210 x 297 mm).
2) The margins should be:
Left - 1.25 inches, Right – 1 inch, Top and Bottom - 0.7 inch.

3) One Hard Copy of the


report to be submitted to the department.
4) The organization of the report should be as follows:
* Cover Page (Format given)
*Certificate(Format given)

BOTH COVER PAGE AND CERTIFICATE SHOULD BE TAKEN IN COLOR PRINTOUT.

5) Numbering of Chapters
The Chapters may be divided into Sections and Sub Sections. An example of numbering
of the chapters, sections and subsections is as follows :
* CHAPTER 2
* Sections 2.1, 2.2,2.3…(Sections within chapter 2)
* Subsections 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3….(Subsections within Section 2.1)
6) The Chapter Number must be Left justified (font size 16).
7) The Chapter Title should be Centered, with all letters Capitalized (font size 18)
8) The Sections must be Left Justified (font size 16)
9) The Subsections must be Left Justified (font size 14)
10) The body of the text must have a font size 12.
11) ALL CONTENTS MUST BE JUSTIFIED.
12) Figure and Table Numbering& Labeling
* The figures and tables must be numbered chapter wise.
* For e.g., if the figure is the third figure in the first chapter, then the figure number is
Figure 1.3. Figure Name * If the table is the second table in the third chapter, then
the table number is Table 3.2.Table Name
* Thefont size for labels of figures and tables is 10.

13) Headers and Footers


* Font Size 10 *
Header : Project Title (Left Corner), Chapter Name (Right Corner) *
Footer : Left corner (Brindavan College Of Engineering), Center (Department of CSE),
Right corner (Page number)
14) Reference OR Bibliography: The references should be numbered serially in the order of
their occurrence in the text and their numbers should be indicated within square brackets
for e.g. [3]. The section on references should list them in serial order in the
followingformat :.
For textbooks – A.V. Oppenheim and R.W. Schafer, Digital Signal Processing,
Englewood, N.J., Prentice Hall, 3 Edition, 1975.
For papers – Devid, Insulation design to combat pollution problem, Proc of IEEE, PAS,
Vol 71, Aug 1981, pp 1901-1907.
15) Every Chapter should begin with a sheet that has only the chapter number and
chapter name. This page should be covered with a OHP sheet. This page has no
header, footer or page number. An example of this sheet is attached. The font style to be
used throughout the project report is Times New Roman.
