Writing (Country’s exports)

The bar chart shows the difference between the cost of one country’s exports in five different categories
in 2015 and 2016. The table shows the change in percentage in every category of exports between 2016
and 2015.

There is a wide disparity between the categories of products and their changes in value for two years.
The lowest part of country’s exports seemed to be the textiles that made up roughly 36 billion dollars. In
2016, the amount of export of this category grew up significantly to 41 billion dollars (15.24 per cent
rise). The majority of country’s export earnings were petroleum products and engineered goods (roughly
60 billion dollars both). After the percentage increase in 2016 on 3 per cent and 8.5 per cent
respectively, the earnings from these two categories remained nearly the same (62 billion dollars for
petrol and 61 billion dollars for engineering).

The agricultural products export did not have significant changes during 2015 and 2016 (only 0.81 per
cent grow). It remained the same and made up 41 billion dollars in two years. The only category which
exports earnings decreased slightly was gems and jewellery. The value of the country’s export in this
category fell on 5.18 per cent, from 52 to 50 billion dollars between 2015 and 2016.

Summing up, four out of five export product categories increased slightly during the two years, except of
one (gems and jewellery) which earnings decreased steadily on roughly 5 per cent.
