Introduction to Docker

Overview

This intensive two day hands on course is designed to provide working

developers, devops staff and other technology professionals with a
comprehensive introduction to Docker. Attendees will leave with a clear
understanding of Docker and its place in the market. Students will gain hands on
experience with the Docker image and container creation process. Container
design, Dockerfile construction and general best practices are covered in class and
through hands on lab exercises. Upon completion of the course attendees will
have the skills and information necessary to begin integrating Docker with their
development, test and deployment processes.

Prerequisites

Each attendee must provide their own laptop with the ability to run a 64 bit
virtual machine. A 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04 VM is provided with the course.
