At the outset, the Controller of Examinations apprised the members that the Admission Committee in its 63” meeting held on 02.03.2022 recommended the following regarding introduction of few supernumerary Self Financing Seats in programmes of studies running under Regular Mode, from the session 2022-2023: (i) That in First Phase 10% seats of the total Intake under SFS Mode may be introduced in various programmes of studies, from the session 2022-2023, subject to a minimum of § seats in UG programmes and 02 seats in PG progremmes. However, SFS seats may not be introduced where the Intake is approved / sanctioned by the concerned Regulatory Bodies. (i) The amount of Additional Fee to be charged per semester / annum from such students may be decided by the University in consultation with the Deans of the concerned Faculties. The 70% of the Fee realized from such admissions be made available to the Department concerned to meet out the expenditures on Lab facilities / consumables / infrastructure / development etc. ° ‘The above recommendations were approved by the Academic Council in its meeting held on 09.04.2022. However, the same could not be implemented due to some issues. After detailed deliberation, it was recommended that the Deans of the Faculties will provide list of such courses after finalizing the seats to be ear-marked under SFS Mode in ‘consultation with the concerned Departments, 2. The members went through the Upgradation Policy and after detailed deliberation, it was recommended that the existing policy may continue. 3. The members considered the letter 0.0. It was agreed that the students who have not put in atleast 30% attendance after one month of commencement of classes (i.e. by 11.02.2024) be sent a letter by the concerned Dean's Office asking them as to why their names should not be removed as per Clause 2 of the Rules for Attendance of Studants which is reproduced below: If a student fails to secure at least 30% aggregate attendance after one month of the commencement éf the classes in a Semester 7 Year without valid reason, his/her admission to the concerned course of study shall stand cancelled...” (QAZI ZUBAIR AHMAD) Section Officer (Admissions)- Distribution : All Concerned : Copy to : Advisor, Intemational Students’ Cell for information and necessary action. 2.
