Condition Magazine

 The quantity of explosives on the premises at any one time shall not

exceed the licensable capacity.

 The magazine used for storage of explosives shall maintain safety

distance of 45 meters from protected works / building / road / railway

/ mine etc.

 The magazine shall be used only for keeping explosives specified in this

licence and of receptacles, tools or implements for work connected with

the keeping of such explosives.

 Provided further that where two or more lighting conductors are

attached to one and the same magazine,

 Magazine shall at all times be kept in state of good repair (or

maintained in good condition).

 he resistance of the lightning conductor to earth shall be as low as

possible and in no case more than 10 ohms.

 A distance of 15 metres surrounding the magazine shall be kept clear of

dried grass or bush or flammable materials.

 Double Fencing around the magazine with 15 m radius.

 Proper Lighting around the magazine. Specially flood light shall be

installed on Tower.

 Construct watch tower with sufficient height to post guard on it round

the clock.

 Emergency syren shall be provided in watch tower.

 No light fitting shall be provided inside of the magazine building.

 Strong construction of wall with bulk head double doors in main

entrance of building shall be provided.

 “Z” Type ventilator shall be fitted in wall at required place.

 Explosive and Detonators rooms shall be separated by strong wall and

separate doors.

 Single story Building only shall be constructed.

 Strong Main gate shall be fitted to enter of magazine premises

 All weather type approach road shall be constructed from main road to

magazine.
