As a user, I want a new tool inside of Propstream for calculating ADU’s. This tool will help me in
calculating the estimated price of adding on an addition to the property I am investing in. I want
it to tell me the overall cost of the project and also break down the individual components of the
upgrade. I also want this information saved onto my property so I can revisit my calculations.
Objective
We are to introduce a new calculator under the Tools menu drop down. Once clicked, this will
bring up a new popup that allows the user to select from three different drop down options and 2
options that may or may not be selected. This information will be saved onto the account for that
property. However, if a new calculation is ran for the same ADU Quality, a new set of
calculations will be saved and the old ones discarded.
We will also let the user know of the date the calculation was run.
ADU Calculations are always based on the Zipcode of the property. This way a user can be
confident they are getting accurate price estimations based on the area of the country.

Input
The variables that will have the drop down menu are as follows
● ADU Type - The type of Accessory Dwelling Unit
○ Above Garage
○ Above Living Area
○ Attached
○ Detached
○ Garage Conversion
● ADU Size - How large of a ADU in square feet
○ 200
○ 400
○ 600
○ 800
○ 1200
● ADU Quality - The quality of the materials used
○ Designer
○ Best
○ Better
○ Good
○ Economy
The optional selectors a user can select are as follows
● HVAC - air conditioning
● Laundry - onsite laundry services such as washer and dryers
Output
● Summary - Represents a summary of a specific part of the ADU project
● Project Group Name - Related construction projects
● Project Sub Group name - a breakdown of the projects inn the Project Group Name
● Subtotal - Cost of the Project Group Name
● Total - Overall costs of the entire project

The above is an example of a complete description of all possible return fields for the ADU
Calculator.
The idea is if the calculation does not return with a specific output, we will not show it at all and
it will simply be removed from view.
Important Notice
We want the user to be able to be able to see all 5 quality choices they make. The idea is that if
a user already has Designer saved on that property, and they run Best next time, we will save
both of them onto the account.
If the user reruns Designer, we will overwrite the information inside of Designer.
This information will be saved to a table on the backend that will be able to be called upon
whenever the user opens the ADU calculator from inside of the software
