Final Draft
(ON THEIR WAY HOME IN THE CAR):

Father: I am very disappointed by their choices, I expected better!

Mom: We should let them be in the factions they’re comfortable in

Father: I am not allowing that to happen, they should be with us right now .

Mom: But honey, it’s their choices, do think it was fun for Beatrice to not look in the mirror for the
whole three months?

Father: This isn’t about mirrors can’t you see?...they found a better way of running away from us.

Mom: What if what you saying is really the truth?

Father: I am always right, so just trust me.

(THE NEXT MORNING):

Mom: Honey look, look at what I’m seeing on the news

Father: What is it

Journalist: The former Abnegation member has changed her name from Beatrice to Tris and has a
new hairstyle, she is however planning on getting a tattoo soon.

Mother: What? I never expected this from Beatrice(sobbing)

Father: This isn’t the way we raised her, she should be ashamed(angry)

Mom: Look, look she’s now talking.

Journalist: Beatrice or should I say Tris? How are you feeling about the transformation?

Tris: tris sounds better ma’am(smiling)

Father: Can you see how bad this is? it’s getting out of hand.

Mom: Honey do you even recognise how much joy she’s feeling?

Tris: I am very happy with the new faction I’m in, here I’m not forced to do things that I don’t feel
like doing and I can have tattoos whenever I feel like it .

Journalist: Wow it must be very interesting you know, doing something you want to do, not being
forced to do so nut don’t you miss your parents?

Tris: I do miss my parents so much, I wish that night I was given at least one chance to say my last
goodbyes, but my mom gave me her blessing.

Mom: You see how happy Beatrice is? Maybe we should let her go.
Father: Okay maybe it really is time to let her go, but I just want her to know that I love her so
much. (sad)

Mom: But how would she know?

Father: We must write her a letter.

Mom: I’m glad you came back to your senses.

Father: Yeah, yeah, I need to make that my family’s happy even though we not together.
