SKILL-
Decode and read CVC words.

PREP-

Print either the col or ful or black and white board games on cardstock and laminate for durability.

Grab some mani pulatives (erasers, cubes, etc.) for game pieces as well as a die.

PLAY-

To play, students roll the die, move that many spaces, and read the CVC word they land on. Then,
the next player takes their turn.

To add di fferent elements of play, students can roll a gain

when they read the word correctly.

Players can also make their way through the game board
as a team and help each other i f someone doesn’t know a
word.

The black and white versions of these games are the

per fect take-home activities for kids!
