EK 1: Öğrenci Yabancı Dil Yeterlik Belgesi Exam Report for the Student’s Foreign Language Proficiency

 Yabancı dilde hazırlanacak olan tezin, jüri üyelerinin ve danışmanının 04.12.2008 tarih ve 27074 sayılı Resmî Gazete ’de yayınlanan “Yüksek Öğretim
Kurumlarında Yabancı Dille Eğitim-Öğretim Yapılmasında Uyulacak Esaslara İlişkin Yönetmelik” uyarınca yabancı dilde ders verebiliyor olma şartını
sağlamaları gerekir. Jury members and advisor of the thesis to be prepared in a foreign language are required to meet the condition of teaching in that foreign language
according to the “Regulation related to the rudiments about education in a foreign language” which was published in the Official Gazette dated 04.12.2008 and issued 27074.
 Yabancı dilde öğrenim yapılmayan programlarda tezler, öğrencinin, danışmanın ilgili dil yeterliği olmak koşulu ile anabilim/anasanat dalı başkanının
uygun görüşü ve EYK kararı kararıyla ilgili yabancı dilde yazılabilir. In a program where medium of instruction is not a foreign language, the theses are allowed to
be written in a foreign language by the approval of the head of department and by the EYK (Graduate School Committee Meeting) decision under the condition that the
advisor has the language proficiency.
 Dil yeterliliğin YÖK yabancı dille eğitim-öğretim yapılmasında uyulacak esaslara ilişkin yönetmelik uyarınca: Mezun olunan üniversite yabancı dille
eğitim yapıyor ise üniversitenin adı, -Sınav ise sınavın adı ve alınan puan yazılmalıdır. According to the YÖK regulation related to the rudiments about education
in foreign language, language proficiency: If the university that the instructor graduated teaches in the foreign language, the name of the university, -If the instructor has a

certificate, the name of the test and score should be written.

 Tez başlığı oluşturulurken mümkün olduğunca başlıkta kısaltma, sembol, simge ve parantez içinde kelime kullanımı yapılmamalıdır. Ayrıca, Türk
Dilinde oluşturulan tez başlıklarında yabancı dilde kelime kullanılmamalıdır ve tez başlıkları çok uzun olmamalıdır. While constructing the title of the thesis,
one should avoid using abbreviations, symbols and signs and words in brackets as much as possible. Also, one should avoid using words in any foreign language in the titles
of theses in the Turkish Language. The titles of the theses shall not be too long.
 Öğrencilerin dil yeterliği (ÖSYM tarafından eşdeğer kabul edilen sınavlar), Yüksek Lisans için en az 55; Doktora için en az 60 olmalıdır. The language
proficiency score [The exams acceptable by OSYM (The Center for Student Placement and Selection)] of the students must at least be 55 for MSc. and 60 for Ph.D.
 Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı Lisansüstü Eğitim ve Öğretim Yönetmeliği’nin 18/2 Maddesindeki “Doktora programlarında öğretim üyelerinin tez
yönetebilmesi için, başarıyla tamamlanmış en az bir yüksek lisans tezi yönetmiş olması gerekir.” ifadesine göre önerilen tez danışmanının en az bir
yüksek lisans tezi yönetmiş olması gerekir. According to the Article 18/2 of the Regulations on Graduate Education and Instruction by the Turkish Council of Higher
Education, for a faculty member to supervise a Ph.D. thesis, he/she needs to have successfully completed the supervision of at least one master’s thesis.
 Öğrencilerin dil yeterlik belgelerini bu formun ekine iliştirmeleri gerekmektedir. The students should submit their certificate of foreign language attached to this
form.
